My name is Rupinder Rathore and I came to Canada 16 years ago. I am a wife and mother of 2 beautiful teenagers. I am a computer science graduate and currently working as a Business Analyst in the banking industry for over 10 years. On the side, I also work as a Makeup and Hair Artist – which is my true passion.

I started my makeup and hair artistry business in early 2019. I always liked dressing up and doing make up and hair since I was a young girl. I remember doing hairstyles on my grandmother’s hair and doing make up on myself when my mom was at work. I guess I never considered it as a career option because 20 years ago, it was not considered as reputable as it is now.

I got too busy raising kids and worked hard on my career so it wasn’t until a few months ago, when my husband encouraged me to pursue my passion. that I decided to follow my dreams. He told me “If you love it then do it!” But that was not it. It wasn’t as simple as just doing it. There were monetary and time challenges involved. However, I decided that if there was a will and support from my family, there is a way.

So I enrolled myself into part-time weekend at Seneca. I passed with great success and started getting clients. I took things further to the next level by taking master classes with some known industry professionals like @KYKHair from Australia and @BlueRoseArtistry from Vancouver. There are so many more from whom I wish to learn from. In due time, I hope I will.

The more I work in this field, the more I realize just how much I love it. For me, this is just the beginning and I am loving every bit of it.

I believe everyone is beautiful in their own way and if i can enhance that with my art, and experience the happiness on my clients’ faces…that to me, is priceless.
